Alexey Vorobyov for Russia!

According to credible sources, Russia has just made the announcement that singer Alexey Vorobyov will represent Eurovision's largest nation in Germany.  The song, which will be publicly introduced to the world during the March 12th, the season premiere of "Star Academy".

That's not where the news ends, however: the song has been written by the world-renowned hitmaker RedOne, who has produced hits for artists such as Lady GaGa, Enrique Iglesias, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, and many others.  Here's what RedOne had to say about the collaboration:

Sadly, there is no news on whether or not the Buranovskiye Babushki will be his backup dancers.

  1. I do not speak Russian, but I think that white text in the blue background is subtitles!

I want to like this guy, since he is so popular, but he does not come across as the most sincere guy I have ever met. This "I want to conquer the world with guy" and "Russia has so many hidden talents that nobody knows about" business sounds either not well-informed, impressionable, or not sincere. This was a pretty bad interview, with all those distractions, so should I give him a free pass for that?

Looks like the Russian entry has already been released! This is just a live version, though, which is why it sounds so bad.
